Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty was the first glimpse of America for more than 34 million people immigrating to the U.S. It remains standing today on Liberty Island in New York Harbor to welcome every new immigrant and represents the freedom to think or act rightly without being constrained by force. It was inspired in part by the statue called Colossus of Rhodes in ancient Greece, symbolizing the commitment to liberty.
